David J. Colligan, Managing Partner of Colligan Law LLP was elected Chairman of Launch NY’s Board of Directors Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Colligan has served as a board member of Launch NY since December 2012.
Launch NY is a nonprofit venture development organization. Their mission is to identify, support and invest in high-growth, high-impact companies and catalyze the entrepreneurial culture of Upstate New York through regional collaboration with ecosystem partners such as hosting the 43North competition. They collaborate with organizations whose purpose is to assist entrepreneurs and encourage entrepreneurship. In so doing, they continuously support, and assist in sponsoring, regional events that seek to inform, educate and provide networking opportunities for entrepreneurs. Upstate NY possesses exceptional resources for starting and building business ventures. “I am excited to be a part of a burgeoning entrepreneurial resurgence here in Buffalo, New York. With all the new support groups, the 43North competition and the new pools of capital funding all coming on line together Buffalo in becoming an entrepreneurial hotbed!” Colligan said.
David J. Colligan has been a board member of the Western New York Venture Association since 2004, where he has served as chairman of the Buffalo Angel network until he became manager of the newly formed Buffalo Angel Fund that has raised over $1 million for investment in startup companies.
