Colligan Law LLP has hired Elizabeth Bourne as an associate attorney. Ms. Bourne will assist clients and colleagues with general business matters, transactions, and compliance with privacy and data regulations. She previously served as a summer associate and law clerk at Colligan Law assisting with research, document and agreement drafts, communications and other support for firm colleagues and clients.
Bourne graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo’s School of Law this past May. While at UB she served as publications editor for the Buffalo Law Review and was a member of the Buffalo Sports and Entertainment Law Society. She also served as an Intern for the Honorable Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr., in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
In addition, Bourne holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with minors in Spanish and Legal Studies from the University of Rochester, graduating cum laude. She was a three-time member of the Liberty League All-Academic Team as a four-year starting pitcher on the university’s varsity softball team, which she captained her senior year.

Bourne is a member of the Western New York Women’s Bar Association and Erie County Bar Association. Her volunteer efforts include supporting softball clinics at her undergraduate alma mater and regional youth organizations. A native of Orchard Park, N.Y., she now resides in the city of Buffalo.
