Colligan Law has prided itself in supporting the startup industry across Upstate New York since we opened our doors in 2013. Whether its entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, angel investors or a host of other players, we believe in and value the exciting – and vital – world of innovation and disruption.
Thus, we’re honored to play a role in this year’s New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC). Our Managing Partner Matthew Pelkey will serve as a judge at this year’s event – “Venture NY” – being held at The OnCenter in Syracuse on April 27.
Since 2010, this intercollegiate entrepreneurship competition has provided real-world training and experience for Upstate New York’s next generation of innovators – and produced hundreds of inventions and patented technologies in the process. Sponsored by the Upstate Capital Association of New York, it offers up to $100,000 in cash prizes for the competitors, while increasing access to capital for companies and deal flow for investors.
The NYBPC brings together hundreds of Upstate startup investment community members, connecting them in uniquely powerful ways. Join us in discovering and supporting New York’s next generation of entrepreneurs by attending this memorable event. Learn more and register at
